When you take on music lessons,

With every lesson, my mission is to ensure that my students feel better—
about their guitar playing and about themselves.
Lessons start with a thirty-minute block called "learn what you love." The student tells me a song they want to learn—any song—and I teach them a way to play that song within their abilities, gently pushing them to learn new techniques. The incentive of learning a song they care about helps motivate them to improve their skills and practice (or as I like to call it, PLAY).
The final fifteen minutes are devoted to instruction from the Hal Leonard Guitar Method. This is where we dig into the magical language and science of music: playing notes and chords as written on the musical staff, the study of rhythm, and beyond.
Together we'll develop, focus, memory, and discipline, and it will be more fascinating and enriching than you can imagine.
